Last.fm offers best online music experience

Perhaps you’ll question why I’m blogging about listening to music through the Internet on my public relations and social media blog.
The reason is: I listen to music while I work. It makes for a more enjoyable workday.
I have a subscription to Sirius and have listened to Sirius online at work for a couple years now. But I’ve got a crush on a different provider: Last.fm.
In a matter of minutes I created my own profile and added a dozen or so artists to my ‘library.’ Now I can stream music from Last.fm and only listen to the artists I like. Plus you can watch and share videos and tracks, comment and learn more about artists, see what concerts are headed your way and create your own music playlists.
This is a different model than iTunes. On Last.fm you can listen to a tune before you purchase it. Then, if you really like it and have to have it on your iPod, you can always go purchase it.
For those of you who are into music and enjoy interacting on social networking platforms, I highly recommend Last.fm. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
