Have you ever considered what face-to-face human interaction would be like instead of technology-based Facebook interaction?

I can’t tell you how many people have come to me with a question something like this:

My x-[fill-in-the-blank] just sent me a friend request on Facebook. I don’t really want to talk to this person. Should I be his/her friend?

My answer every time: No!

Why would you do something online you wouldn’t do in real life? You shouldn’t.

Think of it this way: perhaps Facebook makes it easier for you to close that chapter and move on.

Do something just for you and don’t you worry your little head about the Facebook ‘friend’ you just ignored. Life’s too short.
