Enterprise text messaging with Yammer

A new service that works like Twitter was introduced this month. It’s called Yammer and it’s so cool.

If I worked for a company like GE, like my father, I could enroll in Yammer with my @research.ge.com email address and immediately be connected to everyone else with the same email domain.

Yammer will tell you to “join your private company network.”

Talk about a cool corporate communications tool. And it’s free.

If you’ve got a workforce that’s mobile and not always in front of a computer, and all your employees have company email addresses, Yammer may just be the perfect solution for two-way communication with them.
