Dryers have buzzers that sound when the clothes are dry. But what about washers?
Here’s a link to a blog that shows how Ryan Rose retrofitted an old Maytag washer to notify him when the laundry’s ready for the dryer. With an internet connection, it can send a message to Twitter that the laundry is done.

What a great, practical use of social media. I love it!
We’ve seen appliances that come with Internet connectivity built-in, like the fridge that keeps track of your groceries inside and tells you when it’s time to make a run to the store and even gives you a shopping list.
Now let’s see when new washers and dryers come with the Internet or Twitter feature, and how much they cost.
